MAPPED DRIVE NOT SHOWING WINDOWS 10
It's hard to explain but I am inclined to think Windows 10 is just plain buggy. And again it only occurs once, subsequent navigations all react instantly, for example I go into a second attachment to save down. I will click the attachment and select ' save as' and navigate to one of the NAS drives and it will not browse its contents straight away, you can kind of see it trying to open up and eventually after a few seconds it suddenly responds. It just seems to be more likely after doing a restart or turning back on within minutes of it last being on.īut I do also notice that when I am in outlook and someone sends me a file (such as jpg pic) that I want to save to my NAS drives. Now this doesn't happen all the time and it never happens if I turn the machine off and start it up after leaving it alone for an extended period. I only have to do it once as after that access is instant every time I go to it. If I double click it then it either connects instantly or I will get the green bar filling for about 20-30 secs before it connects. So I then go to 'this pc' and see a Red Cross through one of the drives. If I reboot my machine, or even turn it off and switch it back on fairly soon after then I occasionally get a message about one of the drives being unable to connect. It all works fine and the NAS drives show up just fine in network link too.

I have NAS drives and mapped them just like I did on my Windows 7 laptop.

Networking :: Unable To Connect To Mapped Drives Jan 12, 2016 XYplorer has a tool to reconnect all network drives, but nothing happens there. But to get them tho show up in either Explorer or XYplorer, I have to physically remap them (right click: Map Network Drive.) and when I do so they already show up with the proper drive connection but won't appear unless I finish the remapping. They are still there and mapped, as Net Use shows them mapped properly.

Mapped drives are not available from an elevated prompt when UAC is configured to "Prompt for credentials" in WindowsĪ) Map the drive again in the ViceVersa profile settings, so that the drive is remapped by ViceVersa each time the profile runs. More information can be found on the Microsoft website: This is a general Windows issue, not specific to ViceVersa. When running with Elevated Privileges, there could be an issue accessing mapped drives, if they were mapped under a standard user. However, ViceVersa can also be run with “ Elevated Privileges” if running from the VVEngine, the VVScheduler or by right-clicking on the ViceVersa icon and then selecting “Run as Administrator”. By default, ViceVersa runs under standard user rights, without any administrative privileges. A standard user is someone that has no administrative privileges in any capacity. Running a program with " Elevated Privileges" is when a program is run by a user that is granted the ability to do more than just a standard user. Mapped Drives Might Not Be Available or Not Found when ViceVersa Is Run with 'Elevated Privileges'
